After delivery, mothers and babies move to the post-partum unit, which offers 34 beds. Eight private rooms are available, and the rest are semi-private—all furnished to make new moms fully comfortable and to offer the highest quality of care. Mothers most often choose to keep their babies in their rooms, though the nursery is available to care for newborns should new moms need to rest. To help new moms best care for their newborns, lactation consultants are available five days a week to teach breastfeeding and baby care. Classes are in English with Spanish and Chinese translation available.
